As a young child, Aizawa Yuuichi had often visited his cousin in the city; however, something drastic happened to keep him away for seven long years. Now, Yuuichi returns, his memories of those days are simply gone. Settling into the wintry town, Yuuichi comes across several young girls, all of whom are connected to his past. As he befriends them and continues to interact with them, the long forgotten memories from his childhood begin to resurface...

A series of stories about smiling until the end.
Yuichi Aizawa returns to his former hometown which is now clouded by hazy memories and distant feelings. Through meeting various girls, both new and old, Yuichi begins to piece the puzzle together of a promise he made one snowy day.
As the stepping stone for Key’s reign of terror on our hearts, Kanon boasts an assortment of tearjerkers, but like many Animes adapted from Visual Novels, it understandably suffers from pacing issues due to the original storylines taking hours to build their narrative; they now only have a couple of episodes to create the same impact. Regardless of the pacing problems, and the visible age that the art has, Kanon remains dear to my heart, and has been a personal favourite since I was a child.
